So sánh kép là gì?

Hai mẫu liên quan: 'The + so sánh hơn..., the + so sánh hơn...' cho thấy hai thay đổi đi cùng nhau ('The sooner we start, the earlier we finish' — càng bắt đầu sớm càng xong sớm), và 'so sánh hơn + and + so sánh hơn' diễn tả thay đổi liên tục ('costs are rising higher and higher' — chi phí ngày càng cao).

    Quy tắc trật tự từ: Từ so sánh được đưa lên ĐẦU mỗi mệnh đề, đứng trước chủ ngữ.

Tính từ ngắn lặp dạng -er; 'more and more' dành cho tính từ dài.

The soonest we start, the better.

The sooner we start, the better.

Mẫu này dùng SO SÁNH HƠN (-er), không bao giờ dùng so sánh nhất (-est).
